Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) provides FeAlNiCrX high-entropy alloys suitable for 3D Printing applications. As the additive manufacturing industry advances, so will our additive manufacturing powder product offerings.
High-entropy alloys (HEA) are alloys of five or more metals of equal or approximately equal amounts. Because high-entropy alloys may have many desirable properties, they have received considerable attention in materials science and engineering. Studies have found that the specific strength of some high-entropy alloys is much better than traditional alloys, and the fracture resistance, tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance are better than traditional alloys.
